Dallas (USA): Special Mawlid-un-Nabi (PBUH) ceremony heldadmin
Poetic praises for the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) are not new acts; rather, they are established from the Qur’an and Hadith. Almighty Allah and His angels are constantly sending their salutations upon the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), as described in the Holy Quran: “Surely, Allah and (all) His angels send blessings and greetings on the Holy Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him). O believers! Invoke blessings on him and salute him with a worthy salutation of peace abundantly (and fervently).” (Sura al-Ahzab 33:56)
In the following of this esteemed act of Almighty Allah and His angels, Jame’ Hasan Al-Basri Minhaj-ul-Qur’an Dallas (Texas USA) organized an inspiring Nasheed programme for the diverse community of Dallas Fort-Worth, Texas on Saturday, February 27, 2016. A large number of people, including the Arab, Syrian, and Moroccan Community travelled a long distance to attend the programme.
Two brothers of Minhaj Youth League were the stage secretaries of the event: Brother Mobeen Mian and Brother Zohair Akhtar. They welcomed the special guests from Syria, Brother Mouaz al-Nass and Brother Ibrahim al-Nass. They also greeted the audience for leaving their houses and all their worldly affairs to show their love for and attachment to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). From the beginning to the end of this joyous occasion, both comperes engaged the audience in a spiritual atmosphere with their very eloquent and inspiring ways of expression.
Brother Mobeen Mian commenced the first part of the program by introducing and inviting Brother Moiz Hasan for recitation of the Qur’an, followed by another melodious recitation of the Qur’an by Brother Asif. The translation of the verses of Sura Al-Ahzab was read by Sunday school student, Sister Evren Khan.
Next was the recitation of Qaseeda Layliah, written by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and performed by Minhaj Youth league brother, Maamoon Mian. The translation of the Qaseeda was also displayed on the monitors for the participants.
“Through the recitation of poems in the praise of the most esteemed Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) by composing and reciting poetry in his honour, the Muslims are able to express the intense love and affection they feel for their beloved Prophet in the following of the Sunnah and the Sunnah of the Noble Companions of the Holy Prophet (SAW).”
